We start milking at 4 a.m., well before the sun comes up. Each morning, I watch the sky light up with the most beautiful colors just before the sun peaks through the horizon.
The sunrise brings a thought of wonder of what’s in store for the day. Maybe I’ll check a thing or two off the list. The sunrise offers a promise of a new day, wiping the slate clean and embracing the new day — a day not to waste, not to take for granted.
Whether you are feeling super ambitious for the day or a little less motivated, there’s another promise of the day: the sunset. Where’s your favorite place to watch the sunset? A place to reflect on the day, a reminder to rest and reset.
I’ve seen some pretty amazing sunsets, but one of my favorite ones was most recently. The hot day had finally cooled down, and the sky was just radiant with colors. I paused to take it all in as I watched the cows relax in the pastures with the sun setting over them. The beauty of the sky was purely indescribable, painted with the most amazing colors.
The sunrise brings a sense of excitement for the day ahead, and the sunset brings a sense of peace on the day. Both are truly unique in their own way.
