The Redetzke family chose to host the show because they enjoy attending the show regularly, bringing new ideas home to their farm. This year marked the 72nd edition of the annual farm show.

Warren, who has previously played the role of victim in these types of demonstrations, said it always surprises him how much pressure he feels. Flowing grain can exert more than 900 pounds of pressure on a body, said Pittsville Fire Chief Jerry Minor.

Alice in Dairyland Anastasia Poull welcomes those gathered to watch a grain bin rescue demonstration July 15 during Wisconsin Farm Technology Days held at Redetzkes’ No Joke Dairy near Stratford, Wisconsin. Poull explained the dangers farmers face when working with grain. An adult can sink knee-deep in flowing grain within four seconds and become unable to free themselves; in a mere 20 seconds, an adult can become fully engulfed.
