When do you do chores? 6:30 in the morning and 6 at night.

What is your favorite chore and least favorite chore, and why? My favorite is calf chores. I don’t really have a least favorite chore. I don’t have anything I don’t like.

What project do you enjoy helping your parents with on the farm? I’ll say covering the pile. That is kind of fun on windy days, at least.

What is your favorite part about farm life during the summer? My favorite part of farming in the summer is having the space, animals and time to do whatever you want to do.

What’s your favorite animal on your farm? I have to pick just one? I like nearly every single animal that we have.

What do you want to be when you grow up? No doubt in my mind: a farmer.

If you had a farm, describe what it would look like. I’d want a big, red barn and a silo, just for looks, along with a big white barn, like what we have.

What’s your favorite game to play on the farm? I like building, digging and playing football with my brothers.

What is your favorite dairy treat? I like ice cream, yogurt and white milk from the tank. Pasteurized is overrated.

What is your favorite thing to do off the farm with your family? Probably going boating and 4-H related stuff.

Are you involved in any activities? What’s your favorite? What do you enjoy about it? 4-H, archery and volunteering wherever I can, especially at the local food bank. 4-H is my favorite because I like being friends with friendly people.

Micah Lurvey

When do you do chores? We’re all over the place.

What is your favorite chore and least favorite chore, and why? My favorite chore is cleaning heifers with my father. I think my least favorite chore would be feeding new calves because they bite me.

What project do you enjoy helping your parents with on the farm? I like moving the fresh heifers from the dry cow barn to the milking cows and guiding them into the robots.

What is your favorite part about farm life during the summer? I think how we never have to go to school. That’s the life you want to live.

What’s your favorite animal on your farm? I think the dogs because they’re really fun.

What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a soldier in the military, a police officer, a member of the Special Weapons and Tactics team or a farmer.

If you had a farm, describe what it would look like. There would be clean fields, corn growing, at least three barns, chickens everywhere and cows out on pasture.

What’s your favorite game to play on the farm? I like a lot of things. I like playing on the sand pile. I like shadow tag with my family after chores at night, hide and seek and laser tag when we bring it out.

What is your favorite dairy treat? Milk chocolate, if that counts; otherwise, chocolate ice cream.

What is your favorite thing to do off the farm with your family? Going to the fair.

Are you involved in any activities? What’s your favorite? What do you enjoy about it? Football, wrestling, 4-H, showing dairy and visiting friends. Football is my favorite; I love picking flags and scoring touchdowns.

Beckett Lurvey

When do you do chores? 6 and 6. That’s when we like to do it, at least.

What is your favorite chore and least favorite chore, and why? I like pushing the buttons to open the robot gates. I don’t like being in Billy’s range, our goat.

What project do you enjoy helping your parents with on the farm? Well, I like to help Dad with the planter because I know he does have some trouble with that.

What is your favorite part about farm life during the summer? I like chopping hay the best.

What’s your favorite animal on your farm? Dixie. She’s a good cow, and I like how gentle she is. She knows who’s there and when to be extra calm and gentle.

What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a farmer and work with mom and dad. I want to keep this farm running.

If you had a farm, describe what it would look like. It would look like what this farm looks like.

What’s your favorite game to play on the farm? I like to play farm with my little brother, Trevor. We’re stuck together.

What is your favorite dairy treat? Ice cream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream.

What is your favorite thing to do off the farm with your family? I like playing Family Farm, the board game, with my family.

Are you involved in any activities? What’s your favorite? What do you enjoy about it? Football, wrestling and 4-H. Wrestling is my favorite. I like how some kids are good at it, and some kids learn from how you’re doing it.

When do you do chores? I don’t know.

What is your favorite chore and least favorite chore, and why? I like haying, and I don’t like Billy, our goat, because he chases me.

What project do you enjoy helping your parents with on the farm? I can fill the grain pails with my scoop.

What is your favorite part about farm life during the summer? Bringing up bottles from the calves.

What’s your favorite animal on your farm? Dixie, she’s my favorite cow. I love her.

What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be a cow.

If you had a farm, describe what it would look like. Lots of Dixies.
