Dairy goat producers, veterinarians, extension professionals and industry stakeholders can strengthen their reproductive management skills through a new Dairy Goat Artificial Insemination Training Program.
The comprehensive program combines five weeks of online instruction with a one-day, hands-on training workshop offered at two regional locations. The course is designed to help producers improve genetic progress, enhance reproductive performance and increase the long-term profitability of dairy goat operations through effective use of artificial insemination.
Participants will explore the principles and practical applications of reproductive management and artificial insemination through a series of weekly online modules beginning in late August 2026. Following completion of the online modules, participants can attend a one-day, hands-on AI workshop Oct. 3 at one of two locations: Cuba City, Wisconsin and the University of California, Davis. Exact locations will be shared with registered participants.
Class size will be limited to 20 participants per location, with priority given to those who complete the online courses before others are accepted. For more information, contact Jennifer Bentley at jbentley@iastate.edu or 563-382-2949.
